Cycleboat Captain
Seeking a Master Captain to operate a 20 passenger pontoon cycleboat, with a paddle wheel and a 115hp gas motor. Candidates need to have good communication skills, able to work both independently and with a Deck Hand, a strong focus on safety, and a desire to deliver a First-Class fun experience to all guests.
Requirements: Must be a certified Master Captain, knowledge of Coast Guard safety procedures and emergency drills, ensure safety of all passengers and crew members, and CPR/First Aid certifications. Weekend and holiday availability may be needed. Seeking available from mid-May through end of Sept.
Compensation: $35-$50/hr + uncapped tips (people tip very well on these tours). Compensation is commensurate with experience, skill level, qualifications, and customer engagement.
Cycleboat will depart from the Ferry Dock Marina and operate 90-minute tours in the Burlington Harbor.
On-Demand: The Captain/crew will typically be scheduled for specific time slots. It is preferred that candidates live somewhat locally, as the daily/hourly schedule can change due to weather/cancelations/etc..
