Sail Acadia in Acadia National Park is seeking Captains

Sail Acadia seeks experienced Captains for our day charter boats May-October:

Lobster Boat tours aboard a classic 33' wooden lobster excursion vessel. Vessel carries up to 21 passengers so a USCG Master's License is required for 25 tons, inland waters. Lobstering experience and Maintenance experience is a plus but we can train. In addition to our regular tours, we run Private Charters, Water Taxis to the Cranberry Islands, and trips to Great Duck Island. Join our fun team and enjoy a busy and diverse summer boating around Mount Desert Island.

Sail aboard a classic wooden Friendship Sloop around the waters of Acadia National Park. OUPV Master's License is required, as is experience aboard Gaff-rigged traditional boats. Most importantly, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about sailing and enjoys sharing local knowledge of nature and history with tourists.

Tips are expected and significant. Local knowledge, interest in nature and history and a desire to work with customers is required. Sail Acadia strives to provide high quality, informative and professional tours of the Southwest Harbor area.
