I'm 58, married 39 years, have 3 boys, 28 y/o Mat, 25 y/o Andrew and Patrick. Been in or around the ocean as long as I can remember. Fished and surfed during the 70's and early 80's. Bought my first fiberglass boat in 83, a 17 ft renken, "the hold on" boat. Turned that ski boat to a fishing boat!! Next up was a 21 center console Cobia 21 ft. "Hold on 2". That was followed by a 25ft hydrosport w/twin 200 yamaha "Class Act" Next, 25ft hydrosport center console w/200 Johnson "hold on again". After getting my captains license I purchased a 32ft S2 yacht, "Slipaway", full transom w/2 yamaha 250's, tuna tower and slept 4. Started downsizing as I got older, next was a 17' Carolina skiff, great for flounder gigging and sound fishing. After deciding it wasn't quite big enough we decided on our current 19/8 Carolina Skiff DLX. Perfect for getting up behind the islands and shell hunting or fishing inshore. Plenty of room to sun bath or if the kids want to be pulled on a float. The boat is even equipped for a grill so bring the burgers and hotdogs. It's your boat, whatever you want to plan!
