I'm retired Navy (20yrs), I retired in Charleston, SC in 2004 and lived there for over 6 years before moving south to Florida. I completed two semesters at Trident Technical College in N. Charleston for Computer Technology. I then moved to Ormonde Beach, FL and attended WyoTech for Advanced Marine Technology, PWC, and Off-road Powersports. After completing that I moved to the Islamorada where I worked for myself on boats and some Outboards. Additionally, my job experience includes managing a private island for a large Law Firm as well as maintaining their boats; managing a 39' Tiara for a private owner; and working for Monroe County as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. I'm very mechanically inclined, very detail oriented, and take pride in what I do. I believe in doing things right the first time. There aren't many things I cannot do and if there is something I don't know, I'll learn it. I "try" to stay away from outboard motor work only because of the rapidly changing technology. However, if I know what the problem is, I can easily fix it. Aside from that; lower unit oil changes, water pump changes, steering, rigging, bottom painting, etc. I can do it all. Ask me, I'll tell you. If I don't know, I will be honest enough to tell you.
